Where do you put the washers? On both side of the shock eyelets, top and bottom?

Thanks for the reply. Are they 1/2 inch washers? I guess I could use chrome spacers too.

Thanks. I am putting them on my Iron this weekend, if they get here in time. I was also wondering about the air fill valve. I am going to unscrew the stock valve with the hose coming out of it and either plug it since I will only ride solo on the Iron and run zero pressure, or get a regular air fill valve to screw in and be able to connect to my hand pump. Have you heard of others doing that or do they run the HD setup with the little air lines coming to a single fill valve?

I just got finished installing a set of RK's, 12 inch eye to eye on my 1200 custom and wow what a difference. Rides like a caddy and no more spine jarring jolt's. And with the 12 inch it did not change much the set-up of the bike.
Just wondering if the Streetglide 12 inch shocks will help me and my Iron. I only weigh175 and always ride solo, but, the ride is harsh!!!! I will run no air. Somebody please tell me (truthfully) that they will help! Thanks.

Added 12" RK shocks to my 09 Iron, no lowering blocks. Raised the rear maybe 3/4", running 5lbs of air and the ride is super nice for me. I also ran the lines to the main fill valve. Bought some extra line at the dealership, drilled a hole for the valve right in front of seat. Can't see the valve unless you look for it, but still easy to get to. You can see the valve next to my thumb in the pics.
Do this mod and you won't regret it!
