i have been looking at this bike, i am yet to take a look at it but plan on seeing it in person as soon as i can.
my question is, what is your opinion on the price.

why buy that when you can get a new one w/ warranty few a few dollars more?

 

that seems to be the asking price in my area,but you could find a super glide or street bob thats only a few years old in the same price range the market is very soft on used bikes and the economy is still bad and the riders that need to sell thier bikes are either going to have to keep them or except the best offer they can get!!!!!!!!

 

because i'm on a limited budget and the HD dealership is wanting around 12k for a stock nightster out the door.

 

it's an interesting idea, although i really really like the nightster and having FI as appose to carb just seems like a huge plus

 

That's a pretty good price. A little better than what's up here, and I'd bet he wouldn't say no to $7,500. That's probably $4k less than a stock one would cost you out the door and it's already gotten the important stuff out of the way. Just get a new seat. It might be under warranty for a few months depending on when it was bought, they are transferable. I bought my '08 used and the rockers were both leaking, but it was covered despite all the upgrades. The warranty just expired 2 months ago.

 

I just picked up a 2009 Nightster for $8500 from a dealer here in Phoenix.
still having just over 1 year left on the factory warranty as well. check your local dealers and see if they have any used Nightsters in stock.
