Spoke rims for mags Trade?

Yep, been looking for the same thing with my 2010 Iron, my mags for the wire wheels. I might just end up purchasing a set of Nightster wire wheels, shooting the wires with gloss black spray (or not), and then selling my mags on E-bay. The down time would suck with shipping both ways, and overnighting them would be rather expensive, I guess, I dunno.

Hey Eric and fellow riders,
Doc here. I just want to let you guys know that simply trading wheels from a 2007 nightster to 2008 and UP Iron isn't simple.
I tried it this past weekend and found out the hard way that the axles and bearings are totally different sizes.
I have a: 2007 Nightster
Front axle and bearings are Quarter Inch or 3/4
Rear axle and bearings i believe are 1 Inch i believe
Was trying to trade for 2010 Iron 883 but found out his sizes were:
2010 Iron 883
Front axle and bearings i believe is 1 inch
Rear axle and bearings i believe are Quarter inch or 3/4.
Now there is a solution for the problem. You can buy a kit that will just allow you to upgrade to the other size to fit but it is $70 a piece meaning $140 for two sets front and back. It may seem too much or too little to some but i think its a matter of how bad do you want it. I figured for that trouble i think i may just buy some custom wheel wheels that aren't spoked so i can get something cool.
Sorry for the long read

Got rid of my last spoked wheels on Saturday when I swapped out my SG wheels for some take offs at the dealership. GM let me trade him my 09 spokes (including tires and rotors) with about 5k on them for a set of the 2010 (front is 18" v 17" really the only difference) cast wheels (again with tires and rotors) with 5 miles on em. I just don't like the extra maintenance that comes with spoked wheels (plus I can't stand them on anything as heavy as a bagger). As of 1 month or so ago 4 out of my 6 wheels were spoked. Getting rid of the FXD wheels was the easiest, just traded the bike for my new Iron. Now I am living spoke free.
