Default dealer failed to notify about recall

i brought my bike in for its 1 k check over a month ago...
last week i went toi another dealer for some touch up paint, he needed my VIN to get right paint code...and VOILA up pops a recall for my 03, tail lamp replacement, which is real funny because i was having trouble with the tail lamp, and i was driving without one a for a few days AFTER my 1k check up.
i dont think ill be back to the fist dealer for service ever.

Default RE: dealer failed to notify about recall

A lot of that stuff comes under the Service Writers thing.... Depends on how busy they are (the techs) whether they need some hours or not.

Should they... sure.

I don't know how Harley pays there techs on warranty work so is it worth it to the techs.

For an example... Toyota pays pretty good on their warranty work... when I worked for Ford... they paid two dollars less an hour than the going rate for warranty work... What would you want to do?

It's not necessarily the tech's fault in many cases... I would much rather work at the higher rate myself...
