bottom of her shoe burnt onto my pipe
One of the girls I work with wanted to get a ride home the other day. She managed to put her heel down on the muffler during the ride and burnt the sole of her shoe on the muffler. Now I have this hard plastic like rubber stuck to the muffler and I need to know how to get it off without scratching the hell out of the chrome. Help!!!

Easy off oven cleaner. Warm up pipes. Spray easy off on a rag AWAY FROM THE BIKE! Wipe the warm pipes with the rag. It should come right off. Then clean or polish your pipes as you wish.

Anyone try this with the black pipes? I have a little shoe residue on mine too.

When that happens with my bikes, I scrape it off using a copper penny. Since copper is softer than chrome, it won't scratch.
Good luck.

Oven cleaner doesn't work unless the pipes are hot. Learned the hard way. Doh.

Seriously? That is cool!
I got a bit of goo on my bike yesterday... didn't realize my feet were that big.
Going to have to spend some time scrubbing today.

Ive melted a few things on my pipes and always use Goof Off when the pipes are warm. Minimal scrubbing and the rubber comes right off.
