Why not just go with the Harley windshield for those bikes. My son has one on his Nightster and it looks good, looks like a small version of what they would put on a Dyna or Softail, the quick detach mounts snap on and off in seconds leaving the bike clean.

I looked at the OEM windshields and didn't like them. Way too big.

I'll probably design and make my own when I get tired of the bugs in the face. I'll probably go with a tombstone shape that will fit just around the speedo.

To attach/detach I'll probably go with some flipper clamps around the fork tubes with 4 thumbscrews.

I'm also going to make my own back rack.

When I make it I'll post some pics.

if you change the bars do the windshields still fit? I've got 10" minis, but was thinking of going with Z's or 12" from lick's and want a quick release for the highway.

i went with the del rey by memphis shades, attaches to the forks so it wont affect
what bars you run and when removed it leaves 4 mounting clamps which to me are not all that noticable

The HD's are completely detachable. I personally don't think the one with black hardware looks too bad at all. Like 1HD1C said, the Memphis Del Ray is detachable, but does leave a small mounting plate on each fork. I had a Memphis Fats on my Boulevard. It was a nice windshield, and the hardware worked very well.
