well I was all set to go to Corbin, & ran into a friend who gave me a great deal on a seat don't know what you call it, but I sit lower, & I sit "into" it better. & has better support. I don't know how it'll do on the long haul, but took a nice ride last nite, & today, & I immediately like it better than the stock. It'll buy me time, & if it works on a journey, I'll look to do it in leather, or have one made similar to it. ok. I'm going to attempt downloading a picture. Thanks everyone!

I added the hwy bars & pegs to mine too. they do help.

 

It looks like they just took padding out of factory seat

 

I guess I could've done that, & actually considered it. no, its definitely different than my original stock seat, cut differently, more support, & lower. now, what to do with my old seat....I'll let you know how it is after my trip.

 

I was able to ride much longer & further than I thought , due to my new mini apes, & seat. I made it to Tucson, & the only thing I'm wonderin' is why did I wait so long to make the changes!!! Anyway, it was my first long ride on my sportster, & now I'm encouraged to do more. Met a lot of nice folks along the way too, & as you know, you just can' t beat the scenery from a bike.
