Default Risers or not?

Next week I´m installing a 32" drag bar on my Nightster. Thinking of reverting the mirrors. When it comes to riding position I´m a bit unsure wether I need risers or not. I´m about 5,9. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I think you have to do what fits you best. Do you also have fwd controls? For instance, I'm 5-10 and have both fwd controls and drag bars with 3.5" risers on my bike. It's a great fit for me, but I also have longer arms. With mid controls it might be a fine riding position, but each person has their own comfort level with riding positions.

I don´t have forwards. I might get a pair of risers and see what fits best when installing.
Thanks

I have drags with the 4" pull back risers and they are comfortable to me. I'm 5'8" and have forwards.

Personally I don't like the look of drag bars on long risers, I think drag bars should be mounted as low as possible, that's the whole point of drag bars.

Agreed, but the way the Iron and Nightster headlights are mounted (to the attached headlight hood) make clearance with drag bars an issue unless you leave the stock speedo in place or move it to the forks.
