Cheap lowering bracket for shocks?
So I've gone from wanting to raise the tank and relocate the coil and ignition to a more practical mod- Road King shocks on my Nightster. That being said, after putting on the new shocks I will need to drop the bike 2 inches to get back to stock height- where can I find an affordable bracket to do this? I've scoped ebay and have only come up with 1" brackets for roughly $35 shipped, no 2" though...

Cheap and easy lowering!
I used some 3" straight iron shackles with a hole on each end and a set of grade 8 bolts, lock washers, washers, and nuts. All items were bought from Fastenol for under $15.00. Then I notched the shackles around the axle nuts, bolted them up to the original lower shock mount hole in the frame. Make sure that they are facing toward the rear when you bolt them up. After that, bolt your shocks to the aft mount hole. Your done! I did this cheap and easy mod about two years ago and I ride all the time with no problems.
