For sure, I think that's part of why I sold my last bike. I did not want to make my kids orphans. Now there a bit older and I missed the feel of a bike so much. I had to get back on! I think the 883 will fit me well for the type of riding I like to do.

One thing I would like to ask is there a nice bag out there I can put on just one side of bike, Just need something to hold a camera and small tripod. I think I saw a pic here on a brown leather bag on the side of a bkie. It reminder me of Indian Jones's sachel. If that helps anyone.

that was prolly a licks solo bag but that won't hold a tripod. do you have an i. goldberg or army surplus near you. that's a good place to look for a bag and custom make one.

Thanks for the info, looks like that is it.

The only other mod I want to do is the Heavy breather kit. Just for looks more then any other reason. My guess is it will cost around $500 with install. It's a lot to spend just for looks but why not. Life is short. Anyone know what that kit will do for hp on my bike?

Good job with the bike. I go every year to WI. My in-laws are from there. We let the kids feel what cold is truely like. Then, its time to come back home. Ride safe and watch out for those deers.

Congrats on your bike! You might want to look at a Nelson Riggs Roll bag, I use mine all the time, you should be able to get a small tripod in it, and they are inexpensive.

Nice Man! I really dig those 883R's. I imagine I'll be looking for one of those one day myself. Something classic about them that just looks cool. Congrats!
