I had a hard time trying to find any windshields that I really liked. I ended up purchasing a 3/4 helmet with an interchangeable visor/shield so that I can wear both depending upon the conditions. It takes a whopping 20 seconds to change it out. That was my solution.

I don't currently have a windshield and was against getting one until I was on my brother's bike. His windshield looks good and was great for keeping the wind off my chest, creating a much more comfortable ride (sorry no pics) .

Go for anything that will keep you/her in the saddle longer and make your ride more pleasant. After all, it is about riding. Just get a quick release and don't worry about how it looks too much.

I don't understand why alot of products for motorcycles (cruisers mainly) seem to fall into the "don't worry how it looks" category. I ran sport bikes and have customized my Jeep alot and most products in those arenas seem to strive for looks and functionality. A good example is the Zumo GPS's great functionality but does it really need to be as big as a house? I would buy a windshield no doubt if they make one that fit the style of the 48 or the "dark Custom" line of bikes. That Memphis Del Ray is about as close as I have seen to something I would use but I would bet dollars to doughnuts that the mounting hardware dont come in black right?

you would be correct but i think for a couple of bucks you could shoot
some black paint on there or as i have been thinking of doing next winter
and that is powdercoating them.

also i searched around for a few weeks on the web to find one that didn't look overbearing on the nightster and found a post (on here i believe) from last year or 2 ago where someone else had used this shield on their nightster and to me it looked perfect also for the $160 i paid for it (best deal i could find) i didn't have a lot invested just in case i didn't like it.
