I used this kit that you can see in the picture just behind the air cleaner, it's a chrome "U" shaped tube with a hose fitting for the vent hose that goes out to the ground to vent any gases and blow by fluids, I used a braided stainless steel line to route it under the bike but I must admit that very little oil goes out thru it, maybe because I only have about 15K on mine and the motor is pretty tight yet.

I got mine from NRHS, it is sold seperatly and required for installation of the Hurricane Flow but will work with anything.
It's on this page, breather kit part # 66-2110-0316 $29.95 http://www.nrhsperformance.com/partshurricaneflow.shtml
It came with a rubber breather tube but I got a short length of braided stainless tubing from a local race shop, you can just see it running down by the rear jug in the attached pic.

seems ok, not leaking any oil from the filter at all. i also cranked down the banjo bolts as they were a bit loose so we'll see. i have to find my instructions for the right torque spec on those (does anyone know?). think i'm gonna invest in one of those breather kits too.
i guess i learned the hard way not to run too much oil in the sporty but i thought i was doing a good thing by adding when it looked a bit low, fuhk! THANKS everyone!

took the ole turkey baster and sucked out a few ounces of oil and got it just above the low/add mark and took it for a spin. pulled over and checked the oil level after 10 or so miles and it was a little below half way between the marks.

Yes you can clean it with the K&N recharge kit.
Glad you got it sorted.
