Default Learning to do critical fastners check

Hey fellow sportster riders. I decided to learn how to do the critical fastners check and adjustment. Have the two torque wrenches(ins.-lbs. and ft.-lbs.), the torx and allen head bits and the service manual. Ran into a roadblock! How are you guys getting to those fastners where only the bit barely gets to it. Any special tools or extensions or thigamajigs that do the job. I dont wanna have to disassemble half the bike to put a wrench on them. Thanks

Two general notes about torque checking... The use of extensions and wobble head adapters will alter the actual torque reading. Also, if a fastener has had locktite applied, you will not get an accurate torque reading and are likely to disturb the locktite thus defeating it's purpose.

actually a reducer or extension will have a negligable effect on torque
but the universal is definitely a NO NO....

if i can find the site i saved about torque wrench i will post the link also a good beam style is better than
most clickers, i have both styles in ft and in and find i use the beam style when
ever possible

Don't bother. The MoCo is just covering it's butt from a lawsuit if a bolt ever comes out.

Funny you should say that. I was riding home one afternoon from work and i noticed a clicking noise coming from the front jug area. When i got home i discovered one of the bolts from the bottom linkage bracket gone. Bought a replacement and torqued to specs.
