black / grey

Wet black suggests rich mixture. Difficult to tell from the tail. Pull a spark plug if you are worried about the burn.

When you look inside the exhaust hole, you should see a solid plate about 10 inches in. If the baffle was removed you will be able to see straight through.

Speaking of exhaust....

With the new EFI engines, do you still need to manually reset or adjust anything when you go to a more open exhaust?

I know back in the carb days you'd have to rejet.......
