Default Under $5, no wiring needed, 12 volt cig adapt.

O'Reilly Auto sells a direct 12v cigarette plug for our battery tenders for $3.99. Prices may very, I know someone who paid under $3. It's made by Electro-Tek and it's part # is 10722. Most of the store local to me stock it. Shipping is ~$8 to buy it online.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to figure this out, and I'm not even sure this is the right section, but I thought a thread with pictures and part numbers would be good.

This is where my battery tender is located. I've also seen them under the seat (If you don't know what it is, though I'd imagine most of you do... I'm a rookie)

This is an exact copy of a post I made at XLforums, but I thought I'd throw it up here as well since I've seen a few posts here about similar topics lately.

I posted this same thing on XL forum a while back. It works really well. I tuck the lighter plug right next to the wire bundle at the front of the seat.

I did the same thing, only I bought the outlet and cord seperatly and made mine. I had no idea you could buy it already made up. I just plug mine in and put the plug in my bag if I need to charge my phone

I don't know if they do or not. I remember seeing them by Deltran (same people that make the Battery Tender) though on ebay

That's a great deal. Anyone know if any of the major auto stores (Pep Boys, Auto Zone, etc.) carry it?

I got mine on ebay from a recommendation on here. It was like $5 as well. It plugs into the battery tender pigtail. I keep mine unplugged in a bag. I take it out and plug my car charger for my Iphone into it. But it is also nice to know I would have power for many other things is I needed it.

With my iphone I also have a usb plug that plugs into an cig lighter adapter or wall adapter so I basically bring one plug on a road trip. great $5 investment.

Nice I might have to pick up a spare at that price. I ended up making mine as well but I think if I would have bought everything it would have been more that that lol. I already had the one piece that was a extension with a broken tip . I also just carry mine in a side bag and plug in when needed. I really just made it to use with the GPS this summer.

This is great. I didn't want to pay power outlets price. A Reilly's recently opened up not far away. I just called and they have these in stock for $3.99 I'll go tomorrow and pick one up. Thanks OP
