Default new to forums, need headlight help

Alright, so i've had my 07 883 low for about a year now. This last monday an idiot took a left coming at me and made me lock up the brakes and slide the bike. I'm alright after the wreck just a few scuffs, but my bike is a little messed up so i have two questions.

1. i cnt figure out why my headlight isnt working. when the bike slid it didn't even touch the headlight, but i took it apart and the light bulb looks just fine. I used a test light and could'nt get anything hot coming to the light. I'm wondering if maybe a fuse blew or somthing but idk where to check.

2. my handlebars were bent from the wreck and i got some used ones from a local shop. they are more like drag bars then my first with about a couple inch or so rise. so my throttle cables try to stick out farther than my headlight. Are there any shorter cables i can buy for my sporty

Thanks for all your help

What side did it drop on? Yes, check fuses. Also check your wires in the switches.

Yes, you can get shorter cables.

it dropped on the side with my exhaust, bent that side's handlebars and scraped the back rear turn signal and the brake pedal
