Ain't a damn thing wrong with a Sporty... it's the rider that is wrong.

Seriously a Sporty can do the miles just like a Big Twin can. I had just as much fun on the saddlesore 1000 ride on my Sporty as i did on the Street Bob. In fact the ride was better on the Sporty due to the weather and I also liked seeing the looks on the faces of the guys on their Goldwings when I pulled up on the Sporty to start the ride.

I love the hell out of my Street Bob and wouldn't trade it back for a Sporty but sometimes I do kind of miss how light and flickable it was. I wouldn't mind having another one. The Iron (hopped up to a 1200) or the new 48 would be nice.

I finally had two lawsuits settle and picked up a new Red Hot Sunglo 09 (leftover) 1200L on Friday. I debated very hard about moving up to a Road King, since I had plenty of cash for one. 2 miles down the road, I knew without question I made the RIGHT choice. I had the Sundowner, QD windscreen, frame mounted highway pegs, med low detachable backrest, battery pigtail for a tender and the 5 bar rack included with the deal for $10,900 + t&t. Still got a few things to add (saddlebags, fork bag, slipons, etc), but for me, the Sporty is King. The money I could have spent has gone to pay off most of my bills with plenty going into my retirement, so, you can have your cake and eat it too.
I gotta get a new camera and will post pics when I do.
