Default Removing decals

I was wondering if anyone else has removed the giant safety decal on the top of the stock airbox. If so, did it do any damage to the rough finish on the airbox itself? Also for anyone that did, how did you do it? I have good old fashioned Goo-Gone. Any other ideas? I have debadged cars and bikes in the past, bust this finish has me a little hesitant. Thanks!!

Debadging is super simple. Heat gun set on low, run it back and forth for a while, not letting the metal get too hot, then use your fingernail to remove the sticker. If there is any residue left, goo-gone, wd-40, 3M adhesive remover, etc.

+1. Real simple. If you don't have a heat gun, a hair dryer will work too.

Sometimes the decals will peel off without heat if you remove them before the bike has more than a couple of dozen miles on the odometer.

Otherwise, the heat gun definitely helps.

When I got the bike home from the dealer the first day. It came right off, along with reflector on the rear fender and the wear pegs(foot pegs).
