Rat a tat tat??
Howdy,
well... I did the front rocker box gasket on my 883 today... what a pain, all that bending is almost like exercise!!. Of course I snapped one mounting screw[:@] what a lesson. ( the middle one on the lower cover) because I had the torque wrench set wrong.... . Any way I figured I'd button it up and if it leaked then I'd have the bolt backed out... so far no leak BUT I do hear a tap in the engine that I don't think was there before... could be my imagination but I just don't know. Could anything have changed just from replacing the gasket.... I did roll the bike as per the service manual to get the valves closed on the head I was working on but that's it..... am I nut's in thinking I did something wrong??? Thanks in advance...

RE: Rat a tat tat??
Took it to work today...No leaks and the noise seems to have disapated to what now sounds normal to me... I think I suffer from the potential "Murphy's Law" since I was in there I probably payed too much attention to it hence... hearing something that wasn't really there.
