Here you can see the bracket along with the stock Sportie speedo prior to me adding the XR1200 bracket with mini tach:

Bolillo57: Nice. On the third photo it looks like the Fairing bracket is bolted on the headlight visor not the handlebar clamp. The bolts are a little bit in front of the clamp.

Yes sir, you are correct, I wrote that without going and actually looking at it.
But yes the bracket mounts to the bike then the visor to the bracket.
Nothing has to be removed from the stock headlight visor to mount the fairing.
Writing this from memory the XR-1200 bracket mounts to the bar clamp since it is a 2 piece mount (tach/speedo mount & handlebar clamp)

Just purchased this fairing used w/o the hardware and am having a hard time aligning it right. Does anyone know what size the spacers are for the DYNA and where they might be purchased? I went to Lowes, but, didnt see anything that would fit the "hood" bolts... Fugly gap is no bueno....

TIA

Heya!

Sorry you're having issues with this.. If it's any help, when I removed the fairing I remember it had a couple of washers stacked on each side. I guess they did it like that to achieve the desired height..

I hope this helps!

Cool thanks... Yeah, I am thinking about stacking some washers.... just trying to get rid of the gap....

Fairing looks good though, I sanded and rattled canned it gloss black....

I have a question!

If you can see in my sig pic, I have the Chubby 6" Drag bars so I had to mount my speedo on the headlight "hood" with homemade spacers so I could see it. Could this fairing still mount on? It looks like the bracket the fairing comes with would hit the back of my speedo if I kept it here. What are your thoughts?
