Mine was done, Justmake sure your pistons are very close to the weight of the 883 piston or you'll have an unbalanced engine and rattle your teeth out of your head! Weisco pistons are a safe bet because they are very close to the 883 pistons weight. Even though the bottom end is the same on both the 883/1200"s, there is one very important difference! that being that crank is weighted to the 883 piston.

Through the 1994 model year, HD offered a separate crankshaft assembly for 883's and 1200's, each balanced for the appropriate pistons.
However, beginning in 1995, HD reverted to one part number for either model, a situation that remains true today.
You want to make sure the clutch spring is also upgraded.
Many people also replace the clutch spring plate with steel and friction plates while they are there.
You might also consider a 1250 or 1275 kit-
