Default Need help

I have a 1998 sportster 1200c,Does anyone have some info on cutting the rear fender or buying one cut.I"m looking to make a bobber out of it.Also I need the mounting hardware for a solo spring seat I have the seat without the hardware? Thanks for any help.

Cutting the fender? Could use a grinder with a cutting blade but paint will suffer and the spring seat? Harley sells an expensive kit or you can buy the seat mount and spring mount on Ebay but doesn't have the battery cover.

I taped up my fender, hacksawed it, filed the edges smooth, then sprayed it so it doesn't rust.
