Default Check Engine Light

2006 Sporty Custom

Just changed to the Heavy Breather and had the carb adjusted and now the check engine comes on then goes out on a regular bassis ? Any ideas
I have been adjusting the Fuel /Air screw trying to see if this fixes the problem but it will run for a bit then the light comes on then 5 min later goes out ! Seems to run fine

Any Ideas ?

Yea, check for diagnostic codes. Read the Helpful DIY thread at the top of this section.

Those aren't the error codes, they're part of the initial display. Try rereading the directions and check the codes again.

What you saw (what you posted above) was actually, diag & PSSPE
you didn't get into the error codes for each of the groups, P, S, SP & E

I can't figure out what your asking. It seems you found the DTC's and fixed the problem by tightening the battery connections.

Is the part number your looking for for the oil pressure switch? That switch is omitted from my 04 Parts manual, but it's a generic item and easy to find Click Here.
