I want to beat the dead horse a bit.....
Just picked up an '06 883C for my wife. She wants to change out the stock exhaust for something with a bit more sound. She doesn't want to be obnoxious or anything but the stock pipes are abit docile. She is kinda stuck between Vance and Hines HS Slip Ons and the Harley Davidson slash down slip ons (catylist). The V & H pipes will probably provide the sound she is after but she is not real fond on the straight pipe look. Remember, performance is not the underlying factor here, just that sound that we all love soooooo much!
Question: Does anybody have the new catylist Harley Davidson slip ons and if so, was there a marked difference in sound from stock pipes or are the new Harley Davidson slip ons (which are now 50 state legal) jsut as quiet as stock.
HD pipes in question.......80416-06
Thanks for letting me [sm=deadhorse.gif]

I dont have the SE Slip-Ons but I can tell you that there will a noticable difference in loudness between the V&H HS slip-ons vs. the standard SE slip-ons. The V&H are pretty loud and the SE's are a little more docile. SE II's would be louder than the standard SE's but I still don't think they're as loud as the V&H. Good luck.
