Default Socket size help.......

Can any one tell me the size of the socket to remove the pulley that drives the rear belt on a 2006 XL, I'd sure apprecaite it, Rich

It's an 1 and 7/8ths inches. The nut is left hand thread (turn clockwise to remove), and it's on there fricken tight.

Do yourself a favor and buy or borrow an impact wrench. It'll make the job easier. I'd also advise buying the socket at a TSC rather than Sears, etc. unless you don't care about how much it costs.
