NO POWER!!
i have an 883 r 06 sporty that has no damm power!,,every thing was cool till last night. i have a set of python slip ons and a hyper charger, i put the jets the dealer reccomended in and it was fine. so last night i was riding and the bike just lost it power at high rpms.the plugs look like the thing is running lean, would this account for my lack of power though? like i said it did run fin untill last night

RE: NO POWER!!
Mine ran great after installing my SEIIs. But after I installed my HurricaneFlow AC, I lost power too. I took it to my local dealership and had them check it out for me. I thonk they put in a 45. But I also wanted them to check it over, adjust whatever else was necessary after the Stage I upgrades. I don't have any probs doing small stuff (suspension, AC, exhaust, handlebars, grips, etc) but carbs & jetting was just something I wasn't that comfortable with It cost me $45 and it ran great after. Money well spent, IMO.

RE: NO POWER!!
i checked my vaccum lines they seem like they are ok butt the butterflies dont open all the way up on my hypercharger like they used to. so i guess there could be a vacumm issue . this is really fustrating, jetting shouldnt be an issue im running a 45 slow and 185 main is there any hidden vac lines im not aware of?

RE: NO POWER!!
Are you aware of the VOES? Follow the vaccum line from the top of your carb. VOES electronicaly opens and closes and is an emissions piece. Your jets sound ok, but have you also checked the diaphram if you have a CV carb? I had similiar issues and I went to a Mikuni HRS 42 smoothbore. It was pricey at $450, but it runs so good now! I have a 1200 custom, but they are similiar.

RE: NO POWER!!
Hi,
Sorry for asking what may seem like a simple question, but what do you mean by "no power"? Do the RPM's increase and the bike does not go? Or does the engine lug or lag? If your RPM's ARE increasing, and the bike does not go, that actually sounds identical to the problem Ihad, which turned out to be a clutch issue - i.e. the power was there, but was not being transmitted to the wheels.
