hey all what's the real deal on the best sportster tires for the road. no racing etc etc just the best road handlin', road grippin', sweetest tire around. gonna get some. standing by dutch

 

Hummm...guess no one likes their tires? I know a couple folks that are running Avon Venom's (or sometimes referred to as Venom X) on their Sporties...and love them. My bike is brand new and the Dunlop's will do for now, but I also ran Venom's on my last bike. It takes about 250-300 miles for them to break in...but they are great tires. I definitely will go with them again when I do need new tires. I like the look of the tread as well.

 

I still have the orig. Dunlops on mine with only 5500kms. on them so I guess they sould be good for a while yet but when the time comes I understand that Metzelers are a quality tire.
