Default Rear fender cuts

Ok, old Sporty rider that went Bagger for the last decade, and now back to my roots. Seen the 48 and fell in love, bought her, and rode her right to the lift.
Have some killer ideas for her.
I have seen many posts on this subject, but hate fishing through the pages.
So, could you post a pic of your rear fender cut, some insight on how you cut it and the struts, and any other ideas?
I plan on doing my own cut with a right angle grinder, but could be swayed another way if it get the look I want.

I trashed the stock fender, cut off the fender struts, made my own struts and fit a trailer fender that I mounted to the swing arm so I could slam it and keep my suspension.

Looks like you are the first person to get one on the forum, so I would not expect too many 48 specific rear fender mods. Hows the front end feel, probably not too sluggish since youre coming off a bagger.

Front end feels ok, a little heavy in the sharp turns, but not bad.

15 minutes with a fne blade / jig saw in my driveway on the bike.... I used blue painters tape to mark the line and protect the paint (it took longer to make the line than cut the fender) and this is how my '94 turned out...

From this...

To this...
