Default Tire advice????

Getting ready to put new rubber on my totally stock 2008 1200 low. Any particular web sites I should shop for best price & selection, best brand or style for this bike as a daily commuter (more in town than highway use, @ 60/40) and how wide can I go on the back rim without rubbing the inside of the fender? Appreciate it ya'll.

motyorcycleproshop.com is one that I have ordered tires from. I can't remember the other two I have used at the moment.

I recommend the Metzler tires, I have great service out of those tires, in all riding conditions and types of riding. You can go up to 160 on the rear, but it will be a little tricky to get that tire back on the bike.

exemexer, don't know what part of Dallas your in, but 2 wheel world has pretty decent prices on dunlops like on our sportys. If you buy a tire and you have a loose wheel they mount it free and 15.00 for a balance.

Need to add, 2 wheel world is in Arl. on 303, between fielder and bowen

+3 on the Metzler 880's. Much better tires in every way than the stock Dunlops.

the width of the tire would be limited more by the width of the rim than the fender.
