My first full time job was selling cameras. I knew nothing much about them. As a result I sold very few expensive ones (comission). I read lots, bought one, used it, took a night course. I read about every model and what it did. After a while I was able to sell no problem. I was especially good at selling the ones I really liked. I actually fought with a manger over some crappy ones I refused to re-order or sell. Find the sales person that walks the walk not just talk the talk. just sayin....

I research the hell out of anything I buy, so when I go into a dealership I've already made up my mind on what I want down to the color. The salesmans only purpose is to take my money and give me the keys. So, I could care less whether he's ridden or not because there's a 99% chance he knows less about the bike than I do, even if he has ridden one.
