Losing electrical power
I have been having some troubles with my 2005 1200C model. At start up the engine may turn over, but sometimes I hear a click in the starter then lose all electrical power. If I jiggle the wire to or pull out the maxi fuze and put it back in I hear the fuel pump pressurize again and I have power back. I rode for a short time today and on the way home the bike sputtered real bad and I noticed the sepedo would drop down to zero then jump back to 50 where I was riding at. Do I have a problem with my ignition switch or is it somewhere else? Any help is appreciated. Thunder Beach is only a month away.

My first thought was "the fuel pump powers back up"?? No fuel pump on a 2005 Sporty.
But, probably more helpful is this thought:
I had a friend that had the same issues on a Dyna, which is basically a Sporty with the big twin engine. That problem was with a Maxi Fuse. Check it, see if it needs to be cleaned, or possibly replaced.

^^^ This. I had the exact same issue a couple of months ago which turned out to be a loose connection at -ve battery terminal. Once I took care of it, everything was back to normal. I have another electrical issue right now but it's totally different.
