Love how the gauges look tucked behind the fairing.

Thanks for the compliments guys. What are your thoughts on forward controls? I was going for a drag bike look and forward controls are kinda opposite However I rode a sporty with forwards the other day and it felt bad ***.

I've had two sportsters, both with fwd controls, and I love 'em. I'm only 5-10 but my legs cramp horribly with mid-controls and the angle at which my legs have to sit causes a lot of pain in my hips. Forward controls not only gives me a little more room to stretch the legs but I find it a much more natural riding position for me.

wjkramer or anyone else;

Don't mean to changed the subject, but is your speedo and tach from harley #67182-07
for sportater 07-up 883's ? I was told this kit didn't fit the nightster. I don't know why, is there a big difference between 883's and the nightster? thanks.... Jerry

How's that Fastback seat working for you? More or less comfortable for the rider? I like how well it preserves the lines of the bike, but need to be sure it's comfortable before I make a $300 mistake, you know? Knowing your size and riding style would be helpful as well...

The seat looks very similar to the stock 1200 Custom (my scoot) this one looks a bit more padded - you may want to try a 1200 C seat from a scrap or a friend or something before buying a $300 aftermarket to get a feel for the look and 2 up riding - if you like then go for the aftermarket with more padding.

I ride two up all the time (meaning "very often", not "exclusively"), but I have a suction cup p pad right now. Passenger comfort is fine with that. I'm looking for a seat that is more comfortable for me, hence the question.

Sorry guys, I haven't been checking this thread. Let me see if I can answer some questions even though I no longer have the bike

thedeave: there will be a slight gap but send a little time adjusting it and you can reduce it somewhat. It's been a while since I did it so I can't remember the exact details of what I did sorry.

Chi6er: Thats the kit. Fits fine.

tekdiver500ft: The seat is not comfy for the rider at all. Leaps and bounds better for the driver though. She ended up telling my to trade the bike in on a bigger bike so she would have a better ride. Couldn't argue with that!
