This is details from my bicycle riding days....there is only bad gear never bad weather. I rode this January in 7F on a sunny day and loved it. Yea, I never got above 40mph but it still was AWESOME.

When it is that cold I'm more worried about hitting a patch of ice than being cold...

It's an air cooled engine so cooler air cooler engine. I mean last night I was out on my Z1000 and it's liquid cooled and when going like 55 in 6th gear my water temp was like 145-155 and was running so good. All bike love cool air temps once they are warmed up.
