Ok I bought my wife an Iron, and I bought the V/H Short Shots and talked with the local dealer. I'm being told that I do "NOT" need to change the fuel pack or remap it just to put the pipes on. I'm not sure about that and want to know what you guys think? Will I still have the sound im looking for? I was told if I do not "OPEN" the air cleaner I will not need to do anything but put the pipes on.

Please Help

 

this is true. pipes only no map needed, touch the air cleaner then you need fuel managment. enjoy

 

May be true, may not be. I just installed Martin Bros Two down pipes on my bike with everything else stock and even had the HD down load and my bike ran why to lean. The front pipe would glow after a few mins of idle and shot flames out the pipes on reving. I know have a SE stage I in take and a PC III and it's at the dealer as I type this getting dyno tuned to run right. By the way my pipes flow about the same as the V&H short shots.
