lowering a sporty
i tried a search and didnt find anything but maybe i just didnt word it right. I was wondering if there is a way to lower the sporty while keeping the stock length shocks. Like some sorta block kinda thing. I ride 2 up with my wife at times and have some progressive 412 lowering shocks and we bottom out at times....was just trying to prevent this. Or are there other lowering shocks out there that are stiffer so we would bottom out when hitting bumps

They do make a lowering kit. It is basically a piece that bolts on and lowers the position where the bottom of the shock mounts. However, lowering is lowering. there is no way to get around getting close to the tire. a stiffer shock setting might do the trick or stiffer shocks all together. I can't even fit my hand between my tire and my fender it is so close. I have my shocks set on almost the stiffest setting. I am however a lightweight at 165#. I jump it up to the stiffest setting when I ride 2 up. I also rerouted my wires to the side of the fender to prevent wear when I bottom out. It is only a question of "when not if" when I ride 2 up.
