Default Loose Battery Cables

My wife has a 06 883L, her battery cables continously get loose. I retighten them almost every other month literaly. Has any body ever used blue loctite on the cable ends fastening to the battery and like wise to the block where the negative cable fastens, or am I asking for not getting a good connection by using loctite????

Have you tried using "star" lock washers on the connections?
