I've been trying like hell to find someplace that sells replacement heat shields for the straightshot slip ons, but have absolutly no luck! I even emailed Vance and Hines, but got no response at all!! I thought I had found a retailer that sold these, but when contacted, they said it was a "special order" thing. And we all know what a "special order" means!
So, does anyone know of a company/retailer that sells replacement heat shields for these slip ons?

Awhile back when I was looking for black ceramic shield for my pipes V&H blew me off too. My dad was able to get ahold of em they told him too get new one we'd have to buy a full set of pipes. They make more money that way. So I had mine ceramic coated by a local painter.

Maybe you'll have luck at a swap meet. Or some one here that switched to exhuast wrap can help

 

I bet if you call/email Drag Specialties, they can get them.

I got a response from Vance and Hines today. They tell me that yes, the heat shields are available......they are $75.86 EACH.

They must be out of their friggin minds!!! Before I spend that much for these shields, I will buy a new exhaust system from a different manufacturer!

Unreal, I was just amazed at that quote!
