Unhappy Irons. Engine Cleaning Help...

Guys,
How do I clean the black hard surfaces on my bike like the primary or the engine? Which material should I use? What kind of towel? Do I need to clean it with water only or it's better to use some quick wax spray?

Thanks in advance.

I use dawn dish soap, and a long bristled brush. I know it's ghetto but it does well at removing the oil/ grease and road grime. I just spray the engine really good, then put the soap on said brush, then go to town. Rinse and let air/ blow dry, or just start it up will the block just starts to get warm and it will evaporate. Just my .02

Ghetto hell, LOL. Green Dawn is some of the best grease cutter out there. I use it often.
Cept when the wife catches me stealing it out of the kitchen. lol

lol, right! Whatever works though. U can use just plain water, as long as your brushes bristles are long enough to get in between the cooling fins.
