what do you guys think of the new "Forty Eight"

I don't think the Buell engine would be a good ideal, but I do think that the moco should bolt on one of the 110"s to a sporty, I would want one then , of course they would have to beef up everything else about it (frame, shocks and forks) and while they are at it why not a springer front end?
they call it a dyna and market it to people who think sportsters are girls bikes but who want to ride the same basic bike

I personally think they should slap a Sportie motor in a rigid frame with a Sporty Custom narrow, 16" rear and 21" front, peanut tank and sell the living daylights outta them. They could build a bike cheap like the Iron and it would still scoot pretty good because of the light weight rigid frame. But maybe I am biased. Guess most folks seem to think a rigid is something that is unridable. So slap a spring seat on and have a really cool bike.

There is a ton of difference between a Sporty and a Dyna, and yes to me a sporty is a chic bike, but that is just me, I would never knock anyone for riding one, at least you are riding and riding a Harley. In my option the narrowness of the frame is thew biggest factor, but if you stuffed a huge engine in it, then it would be like the old rat rods, small, light weight, and plenty of motor. Of course if anyone did ever put a 110" on a sporty the old peanut tank would have to go, on my Dyna I get about 27-33mpg and for 3 gallons of gas, that doesn't go far.

It is designed that way, gotta pour the fuel to it to get the ratio correct, then with the updates I have done to free it up even more dropped it again, But to get close to 130 horse power, worth every fuel stop I make

If you notice my sig pic, I am not running a sporty, I will post my dyno sheet if I still have it on file if not I will have to find the hard copy. I know I have it saved on my home computer somewhere, and will look when I get home in the morning.
