Lightbulb Air cleaner suggestions

I have been searching the forums and haven't really found what Ive been looking for...

Ive got a 2008 nighty with V&H short shots, I'm looking for a air cleaner to beef up the air intake and then I'm going to get it remapped.

My questions are :

Whats the best air cleaner for my config, I'm basically looking for the stage one setup, but the SE ham can filter setup isn't really what I want. I was looking at the SE heavy breather, but they are expensive, then the K&N one is ok, but expensive too. V&H has the round setup, but I don't like the way it looks....

so I decided to let the performance be my guide...does anyone have dyno stats, or flow stats on the different filters? What would be nice, since my configuration is pretty common, with the V&H short shots, filter and remap...that I can get some good data...

you will get mixed answers on this. But my take on it is get the one you like the looks of. Unless you are doing work on the internals of the engine-head porting, cams etc.. the difference in flow of any aftermarket high flow breather with just exhaust and breather isn't going to be enough to notice. And if you are doing motor work then ask the company that you are getting the parts/work done from what their recomendation is for your setup.

Yes, true. If it says HD on it, you can bet there is a huge markup.
As stated earlier, just get what you like because the difference between A/C's on a stock motor are going to be very, very slim. So get the one that looks good to you,

I have the SE stage 1 on my bike and it's not bad, but I have not tuned or rode it yet-just installed in. The kit is $140 and easy to install, but does not seem like you get much for the money. It does open the air flow up alot. I was going to go with the HB, and I love how it looks, but the parts guy at the HD dealer and this dude knows his stuff said the sage 1 flows just as good and it's alot cheaper.

XL,
This was my thought looking into them as well, and like some of the previous replies had said, on a stock motor it doesn't seem to matter as much.

I'm thinking Ill end up buying the the Stage 1 and just paint the ham can cover flat black.

I would really like the Heavy breather but I cant justify the price(i know...its a Harley, everything's expensive).

Ill check out the goodsons...I don't think Ive ever seen one.

Thanks for all the replies! Im still going to try to find flow data if I can, and post it...I'm kinda curious...

Another option would be the NHRS hurricane flow. Top notch customer service and very helpful. This is what I got adn very satisfied and impressed by the quality and service. Personally I will spend a lil more to support those with great service.
