Default mods to the stock ham can

I'm sure I am in the minority but i like the look of the stock ham can and would like to keep it. i have a K&N filter for it but was wondering if anyone has modified the stock can to allow it to breath better and fully utlized the free flowing K&N filter

I don't have one, but you can get the Hurricane AC that will let the engine breathe much better AND still use the ham can! If you go with the Hurricane don't forget to open your exhaust and rejet so you don't run lean and can get the benefit of the AC.

K&N makes a stock replacement filter for Sporty ham cans. PN 1388 I belive was what a parts guy told me. 66 bucks. No mods to the Ham can required. I like the stock ham can as well.

Use the Sceamin eagle stage one kit. It canges the stock plastic back plate to a flat metal one and the stock ham can goes back on. The ham can will be open all the way around.

I like the stock ham can myself and I've seen it modified as well. Sliced in half. Looks good and is functional too. Check this article out. Make sure you read through all the parts, it's in there:
