Thanks GG for putting this thread out there. I had the exact same question and thanks to Google found this. I got mine mounted and like it.

 

So what impact did this have on your low fuel light coming on? Does it still come on at the same time or is it a little more accurate? I just reset my trip meter now but it is a little bit of a PITA. My low fuel light trips at 80-90 miles now and I get about 60-70 more miles after that.

 

I used to have the light go on with my 1200 custom when I had about 2 gallons in my tank or about half a tank left. Since the install of the LED fuel guage It doesn't come on until the last quarter indicator starts to flash, .8 gallons. I've been thru several tanks since the install and that seems to be pretty consistent.
