Default Winter mods almost done!

So this past weekend I got my bike put back together and took it for a spin around the neighborhood to get a feel with the new handlebars. I really like the apes. The install of all the cables was pretty quick and easy with the help of the service manual. I also have the HD low profile solo seat for a 2004-2006 sportster that I picked up used for longer trips because the West Eagle seat I have in the pics isn't good for more than an hour.

Mods done:
Rear end chop with struts
Lick's spring seat
14 inch Burly Narrow Apes on Biltwell risers
Speedo Relocation
Slackster style air cleaner
Wrapped the pipes
Rear turn signal relocation

Still to come:
New fender strut/sissy bar combo and hacking off the rest of the stock fender struts
Front turn signal relocation

The bag serves 2 purposes. It's nice to put my clear glasses and a pair of gloves in and it covers up this awkward void that was left from lowering the fender down.

I love the bars! They look good on the bike, especially in person, and they are just tall enough to make it look a little extreme but still be comfortable. The price of the bars and swapping the cables held me back for a few months, but when I bolted them on I was definitely happy that I made the purchase.

I totally agree about the signals! I think they would look better duck taped to the forks than where they are right now. I am ordering up the cheap clamp on relocation kit from ebay here soon, so hopefully they won't be there much longer!

what did you do with ECM?
Just curious. Adding a spring seat has people using
different Ideas on the '07-'09 models
