Default Holy Stress Batman

Well I went ahead and rejetted my Carb and put on the High flow air cleaner last night, I haven't put the breather on yet so I haven't fired it up yet.

I got held up when one of the four screws holding the float bowel on had the head break off when I was trying to remove it. Needless to say I freaked out! I was worried about not being able to get it off etc....I went to Lowe's and got a screw extractor and was able to drill a pilot hole in the screw and back it out. Just a warning for anyone else doing this....

Yea it's always fun when the head snaps off a bolt or screw while it is still bolted or screwed in! An EZ-out of screw extractor can be your best friend in these cases. Also loctite that has been sitting for a while can be a nightmare. Just make sure you put plenty of pressure on the screw or bolt while you are trying to unscrew it. Also hitting the screwdriver or ratchet with a hammer before trying to unscrew it will help loosen it up enough to get it out without stripping it or popping the head off. HTH and I am going to be doing the same thing you are in the next few weeks so keep us/me posted on how things go!

Fire that bike up...let's ride. Sunny and Mid 40's here in the Nashville area. Best weather we've had in 2 months. And I'm OUTTA HERE!
