Exclamation V Twin Stage 1 Air Cleaner

I ordered this V Twin Air Cleaner part number 34-0803 and it came today.....without instructions. Has anyone ever installed one of these and if so do you have the instructions you could email me?

Default Found some instructions....however

It comes with a crankcase breather and some hose to connect to the fittings in the heads. Would you recommend attaching the breather back to the air filter, or just running it seperate. And where would you mount the breather for the cleanest look?

Default Instructions

I found the instructions....they are just very vague about the placement of the engine breather in the whole set up. I am hoping that someone has some experience with this.

I just installed that same air cleaner yesterday on my bike. Mine didn't come with instructions either, but I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. My first question is, is your bike injected or carburated. If it's injected, there's some parts in the kit you won't use.

I could tell you how I installed it on my injected bike, but the parts that I didn't need to use were the threaded L-shaped piece, the two metal spacers (washers), and all the little plastic washers. I'm not sure how they relate to the carb installation.

Default Breather

I am particularly interested in how the breather was installed. Where did you mount it on your bike to minimize the appearance of the hose etc.

I cut the hose into 2 8-inch pieces. I then ran each hose from the breather bolts, meeting underneath the air cleaner, then attached to each end of the breather filter. Because my bike has a lot of black engine components and I powdercoated the A/C, the black hose doesn't look too out of place. If you have mostly chrome, you could look into a braided hose to replace the black one, and it would look killer.

Default Breather

So you hid the breather filter behind the Air Cleaner?
