I know that when I get neck pain on the right side I'm hunching too much, and not holding the bars correctly.
Try to change up how tight you grip the bars, shoulder position, hunching, holding shoulders tight, etc.....they're free fixes.
This is good enough. Tense muscles are uncomfortable muscles. If you are riding with tense muscles it isn't much different than lifting weights. So there is going to be pain. I had a huge problem with being way too tense when I ride right after I had my wreck, and I would be sore in about 30 minutes.
I Had similiar problems, I changed the stock bars over to the stock Low rider bars. I had to buy a new front brake hose only. Everything else fit. I did the whole job in about 4 hours, not counting the wait for the new brake hose. Remove the seat and get yourself the shop manual for your year bike.
Harley sells the pullback bars for the 1200C 60-70 bucks. You can try rerouting the cables/wires out of the riser housing-two srews to take the plate off the housing.
