Quiet baffles make them a deeper
I have the short shots with the quiet baffles and I have been told the quiet baffles dont really make them quieter, just deeper. My SS with these baffles sounds pretty good to me. I was told the standard baffles make them sound more screamy (higher pitched).
Try to find some used quiet baffles it may help,
Good Luck, SS do look sik though.

I've been trying to tell you guys this for years, those pipes with what looks like no mufflers sound like tin cans and are hard on the performance, made the same mistake myself years ago.
Good news is you can sell them to some other sucker on EBAY and get almost all your money back, been there and done that too.

Well I bought some short shots and have to say I am dissapointed with them. I had python slip ons but I really liked the look of the short shots so I bought some and put em on yesterday. They just sound weak compared to the way my slip ons sounded. My pythons have this deep sound that just sounds like a harley. I really expected the short shots would sound just as good but to me they don't sound no where near the same. Looks like I am gonna be putting my old pipes back on today. Should of listened to the old saying when they say if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Already changed the pipes back guys. Sorry but those pipes will never sound as good as my pythons no matter how much carbon gets build up or which baffles I go with. My pythons are much much louder and deeper. Not to mention I feel I get better performance from them after riding with the short shots and switching back. Something about the sound with the short shots that I do not like. Makes the bike sound like a tin can or something. Phythons sound like a harley, you can hear me down the street before you see me and know it's a harley. My old man used to ride me around town on his harley since the age of 5. Been around harleys my entire life and that sound I was getting from those short shots doesn't sound anything like a harley to me. Anyways everyone has their own opinion and that is my two cents. On a second note will be selling these so if anyone wants their bike to sound like a tin can let me know.
