why aren't you guys going with bar end mirrors?

With the mirrors in the stock location i could only see elbows, with em flipped i can see behind me.
It's just a bonus that i happen to think it looks good... apparently the MoCo agrees.

Whether you like the look or not is subjective, but my decision was functional.

I have a set of bar end mirrors on my BMW and that’s ok. I do kind of like the look of bar end mirrors in general. The other day I saw a set on a Buell XB12S Lightning that looked really good on it. They will more than likely get damaged if the bike were to hit the ground in some way. Here in sunny Southern California I Lane-Split/White-Line all the time and I would rather NOT use bar end mirrors for that reason alone.

first, the forty-eights are definitely hitting in april...have mine on lock at the dealer. i dig the flipped mirrors and the overall low profile of the bike. i'm moving the speedo to this side though, and dropping the rear quite a bit, adding a bobber tan leather solo to her too.
hey shu, (i think it was you talking about this), maybe you can help me get rid of that oil bladder too...not sure how it'd look, so if you have some pics on other bikes that have a triangle frame and a round oily, let me know. even though i really have no idea how to begin that kind of work.....lol. sounds like a disaster waiting to happen!
