Default Painting Heat Wrap

Just wonder if any of you guys have ever painted your heat wrap with hi- temp flame proof paint or anything for that matter? Just tossing around the idea and wanted to know if it was possible.

Yes it works. Not as good of a result as to using the silicone paint that is recommended but it will work. Oh and let the bike run a while and bake it on. Hope this helps.

Default Of course.

I used VHT Flame Proof Header Paint on mine. Picked it up @ Advanced Auto for about $15 bucks. I haven't had any problems with it.

Would you happen to have any pics of it? I actually still have a can of VHT paint flat black left from painting my engin and covers.

I last sprayed these in May of 09 or so. It holds great.
