I think I have everything I need to finish Plain Jane so while I'm buttoning that one up I'm going to start rounding up parts for a Led Sled conversion of my own...

Anyway, I have a few questions that I hope to see you answer with pics in this thread but for now, can I ask what your plans are for the rear caliper mount?

I really like the way that is designed. Perhaps the best thought out hardtail I've seen in a while. I very much like how it ties into the backbone the way it does. Very quality piece. Having a professional like Irish Rish weld it is a very good idea.

Irish is so cool! THe engine is now bolted in the frame. Took pics last night. Will post pics later today. IRish said I'll have to get a longer rear brake line.
I'm guessing if a new braket is needed to be welded for the caliper, he'll do it. He had to make one for the rear tank mount.
He's got another one of his bike builds featured in an upcoming issue of Ironworks. I'll try to find the other ones that has come out this past year in other mags.

We should have the bike back together this week.
Next up, extending the pipes back to the rear end of the wheel, swept upwards, with some Biltwell flare tips, and adding a sight gauge on the side of the tank, and making a cool fender strut and foot tall sissy bar combo.

I'm gettin anxious!!!!!!

right on man...sounds pretty daamn cool!

The caliper bracket has to have some kind of adjustmen/slide or forgiveness for when you adjust the rear wheel for belt (or chain) tension.

I'm sure your guy will get it worked out no problem. I'm just interested in seeing how he does it because that's pretty much the one thing I'm not super fond of on their builds.

here he, laid the frame sideways to mount the engine in ....

while it was still on the floor, he decided to try to put the front mount plates , also had other bike projects in the garage, so that's why it wasn't on his table.

woo hoo!!!
